Just a couple of hints about accommodation in Ireland. Hotel rates often do not include breakfast, unless they are offering a B&B special. When looking for accommodation keep in mind that often the rate quoted to you is per person sharing. (pps) So if the rate is 70 Euros -for two people that is actually 140 euro a night. Sometimes hotels will quote you a rate that is actually per room.(pr) Just make sure you are clear which type of quote you are getting. All prices listed below are simply a rough estimate based on two persons sharing a room. These rates can change daily along with the dollar to euro exchange rate. Dublin
Since flights back to Dulles from Ireland are much more convenient from Dublin Airport than those offered from Shannon, many people are making the drive across the country to leave from Dublin. We don’t have a lot of experience staying in the Dublin area, but will mention several hotels we have run across in our own accommodation search. One thing we have learned is that you should not attempt to drive into the city at all. Parking there is difficult to find, many hotels don’t provide it and those that do charge a premium. An option would be to return the car to the airport and taxi back into the city or if staying outside of the city, take a taxi or some public transport into the city and only move your car when you are leaving for the airport. A cab ride from the airport to the city center is approximately $35.

This hotel is rated #62 by trip advisor. It is located on the south side of the Liffey River in Temple Bar (great nightlife district). It is owned by Bono and the Edge from U2. The reviews are mixed-complaints of being “loud” all night long-it is in a bar district.
The Westin $325-$385
This hotel is rated #14 by trip advisor. It is located opposite Trinity College-Great location! Very luxurious! We found the lowest price on hotels.com
Clontarf Castle Hotel $200 353 1 833234
This hotel is rated #17 by trip advisor. It is located 2 miles north of the city center and 5 miles from the airport. It provides free parking for guests!

This B&B is rated #6 of B&Bs in Dublin by trip advisor. It is located in the city, not far from the center and provides parking to guests.
There are many more hotels and B&Bs in and around Dublin. Make sure you check for special rates or try discount hotel sights-hotels.com, orbitz, expedia etc.
Dublin is an expensive city, so prices will be on the higher side.
